# The darkest building on earth
## the darkest building on earth
Asif Kahn spray-painted this impressive 10-metre-high temporary structure with vantablack creating an incredible illusion.
The substance absorbs over 99% of light and it looks as if it’s 1 dimensional but the structure is curved and has rods that hold small lights that jut ‘out’ toward the view resembling stars.
Kahn wanted to offer viewers a “window cut into space” and you can see it at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Korea
...almost as impressive as the snowboarder's switch-frontside 1080 double cork.
